|
Provide altar flowers; vases are available in the kitchen |

Remove vase and flowers at end of service |

|
Set up and clean up Communion vessels (more instructions in kitchen) |

Make/buy bread |
|
Inform altar guild if grape juice or wine is running low |

Assist in serving wine and juice during communion |

Note: If your child is going to assist with communion, inform the acolyte |

Pick up a Celebrate from the church office before Sunday to review readings |

Read the leader portions of the Celebrate prayers |

Arrive 20 minutes before service starts |

Make sure bulletins are folded and ready |
|
Tidy up pews and hymnals as necessary |

Pass out bulletins, children's bulletins, communion record cards |

Make visitors feel welcome! |

|
Collect offering |
|
Bring forward communion vessels |
|
Usher congregation forward for communion (left side then right side) |
|
Tidy up pews and hymnals after the service |
|

| Hospitality* |
|
Host fellowship time after the church service |
|
Set up coffee, hot water (for tea/cocoa), and juice |
|
Set out cups, mugs, napkins, plates, silverware, etc |
|
Provide snacks - can be desserts or appetizers - does not need to be a meal |
|
Clean up after fellowship time; run dishwasher |
|
Take kitchen and fellowship area trash out to trash cans in shed |

| Building Cleaning* |
|
Recommended to sign up for a month at a time |
|
Clean bathrooms |
|
Check/restock toilet paper and paper towels in bathrooms |
|
Sweep/vacuum entire building as needed at least every other week |
|
Dust once per month |
|
Cleaning duty is the week before the listed Sunday |
